Tag Friday at A Vintage Journey

Hi friends,

Thanks for traveling along with us at A Vintage Journey where it's TAG FRIDAY.  This is always fun because the Creative Guides can make any tag they like with any theme that suits them.  Hope you will drop by for a visit and check out what everyone has made by clicking here.

The month of May brings many birthday celebrations to our home so I thought I would get started with my cards and tags for the occasions.  The tag I've made today will be added to the front of a card and sent to someone as a greeting.  Hope you enjoy the bright colors I've used on the balloons and cupcake while keeping the background in the vintage shades that we all love.

The Great Outdoors - Day 2

Welcome back my friends,

It's day 2 of Designer Challenge Week and today I've decided to go to the beach.  Of course Rocky is there too, wishing you a crab-lous day.

A beach card is always fun to put together and Karen has made it so easy with her fun die sets that follow that theme.  I used Rocky the Crab sitting in the Adirondack Chair.  He has been digging for some shells, looks like he found a few.  A beach scene is so easy to assemble when using the Beach Edges.  No day at the beach would be complete without Palm Trees and a Pail?

On the front of the card is a lovely beach with some clouds from the Hot Air Balloon Pop Up.

Don't forget to stop by Karen's blog tomorrow to see what the entire team put together for the Great Outdoors as well as a new video and technique from Karen.

The Great Outdoors

Hi and welcome -

It's Designer Challenge Week with Karen Burniston.  This time around she has challenged us with the theme of  "The Great Outdoors".   Right now, here in Arizona, we are enjoying some fabulous spring weather and the cactus are showing off their beautiful blooms .  The days are sunny and comfortable - perfect for spending some time on the patio with a good book and a cool drink.

One of the things that can be seen early in the mornings around here are hot air balloons.  Just as the sun is coming up they are rising above the mountains with their beautiful vibrant colors. With the sun shining on them it sometimes looks as if they are lit from within.

I used the Hot Air Balloon Pop Up along with the Western Edges Die Set, and threw in some clouds from the All Seasons Tree Set, all designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

The star of the show on a Pop it Ups card is always the inside of the card so I kept the front simple with a greeting from the Cocoa Western Clear Stamps on a label from the Katie Label Pivot Card.

Stop by again tomorrow for another card made for this challenge.  On Wednesday 4/20/2016 you can see what the entire team made as well as a new video from Karen by visiting her blog here.

Howdy Pardner

Hi, just a quick visit to share a tag.  This won't be the kind of tag you're accustom to seeing here.  This is a wine bottle tag.  We are getting new next door neighbors this weekend and we wanted to take something over when stopping by to welcome them (I don't bake cookies).

I made the tag on my e cutter, the hole simply slips over the neck of the bottle and then folds down at the crease.  I did a fun decoration on the front using some Pop it Ups Dies designed by
Karen Burniston  for Elizabeth Craft Designs, all linked below.  I found a sticker in my stash that was perfect.  Then on the back I put our names, phone numbers and email addresses in case our new neighbors need to get in touch or have a question.

Don't forget to stop by tomorrow to find out if you are the winner of the giveaway!
